Erica Jago

We have a new addition with us here at The North Shore Wellness Estate, yoga teacher Erica Jago. Classically trained in Vinyasa flow, her teachings pulls from all traditions of yoga, including Kundalini, Hatha and Restorative. The momentum building sequences pay special attention to your physical alignment but also attend to the mental and spiritual side to add depth and direction to your efforts.

Mara

Mara J. Pike

Founder of the North Shore Co-Op, she has shared with the North Shore Community a gathering of teachers and growth in yoga and wellness. Here at the North Shore Wellness Estate she shares with us a traditional, beautiful, and powerful form of Yoga called Shadow Yoga. Shadow Yoga is a progressive form of hatha yoga blending common preparatory exercises shared between dance, martial arts and nature.

Liberty Day

Liberty D. Day received her 200 hour yoga teacher/advanced program at Aloha Yoga Kula in Kailua where she studied Vinyasa under the guidance of Brigitte Snyder . Yoga has been a guiding light and practice for the past six years, and after experiencing the healing that took place within her own mind and body, Liberty has adopted the philosophies of yoga and incorporated the teachings into her work as a Massage Therapist as well as a Yoga Instructor. She is a student of the Art of Yoga first and foremost and is excited to be sharing her love of that art with the community!

Pascale Roy Lafontaine

Pascale is originally from Quebec Canada, but has been calling the island of Oahu home since 2007. She lives for her passions especially, surfing, hiking and of course YOGA! For Pascale the meaning of yoga has evolved from an awesome workout to a now deeper understanding of its true purpose as way of living.

Pascale received her teacher-training certificate in Power Yoga at Power Living Australia. When teaching she likes to establish a parallel between our practice and our everyday lives. She challenges our physical and mental abilities as a mean to get us out of our heads and into our hearts. Pascale’s love for life, fun and excitement is brought to the mat, and one is sure to enjoy her safe yet engaging class.

Noelani Love

Noelani Love

Noelani is a North Shore native, mother, surfer and jewelry designer who has just returned from India with the completion of a 200 hour Kundalini Yoga Training. With her passion to share the practice of Kundalini, the original yoga of awareness, Noelani incorporates live ukulele music into her practice. The focus on spinal flexibility, fluid body movement and breath awareness allow for the spirit of Kundalini to rise within you. Her classes offer a soft, yet powerful approach for creating balance and beauty in the flow of life. Kundalini yoga allows you to align with your divine truth that lies within.

Rochelle Ballard

Yogalign – A powerful, pain free structural alignment sequencing that changes old shortened patterns and chronic pain in the body. Using the (HA) deep breathing techniques through the diaphragm and resistance stretching, (PNF) to strengthen the muscles joints and ligaments. Lengthening the fascia lines and activate the Psoas, eliminating stress, toxins, and tension. Restore and renew the body, mind, and spirit!

Michelle Mendoza

Michelle has been teaching since 2007 and was trained under Janet Stone, Elise Lorimer, Darren Main, and Jane Austin at Yoga Tree in San Francisco. She pairs her yoga training with her B.A. in dance and graduate studies in Holistic Health Education to create a mindful practice for all levels and abilities. Come roll out your mat and breath, play, and flow!

Scoop

Scoop received his Power Yoga Teaching certification under Dorian Wright on the south shore of Oahu. Drawing from his experience as a former strength and conditioning coach, training athletes of all levels in a variety of sports as well as a Kinesiology masters. Scoop’s class challenges practitioners of all levels, with many elements of strength and balance. Join him on the journey up the yoga mountain.

Martha Stanwood

Martha Stanwood

Arrived to the North Shore from Ocean City, New Jersey in November 2012, eager to surf year round without a wetsuit, gloves and boots. She enjoys a daily personal yoga practice and encourages others to do the same. She has studied Hatha Yoga with Yogi Shanti Desai since 2005 and received her 200 hour teaching certificate from NJ Yoga Zone. She discovered Sahaja Yoga in 2011 and incorporates this Kundalini meditation into her classes. Classes combine meditation, breath and movement as she lead students of all levels and abilities through meditation and poses that stretch, strengthen and care for the body, mind and spirit. Each class flows as a spontaneous reflection of the needs of those in attendance.

SURF INTO YOGA
Surf Into Yoga class focusing on releasing chronic pain, improving balance, flexibility, and agility in the muscles and improving the quick muscle twitch memory response. By Rochelle – All Levels

VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa Yoga – A beautiful infusion of sun salutations, asanas, bhakti (love), intentions and breath, which creates for a very yummy yoga class!

ASHTANGA
Ashtanga practices synchronizing Ujjayi breathe with a progressive series of postures, producing internal heat, profuse sweat, detoxifying muscles and internal organs, improving circulation, relieving stress, and strengthening the body.

YIN YOGA
Chill yin yoga is focused on gently stretching, holding the pose and finding stillness. Concentrating on the joints and connective tissues, instead of the musculature. It is about creating length and space in the connective tissues of the joints, and it requires that all unnecessary muscular use be relaxed. Chill out an relax while moving inward.

MONDAY NIGHT VINYASA FLOW
Melt your Monday’s away with a well rounded 75 minute vinyasa flow set to mellow beats. Expect to move your body in every plane as you build heat through strong standing sequences and reconnect to your center. Inversions and arm balance will be interwoven throughout the practice along with a short restorative to help you settle in for your evening.

KUNDALINI YOGA
Kundalini, the original yoga of awareness, focuses on spinal flexibility, fluid body movement and breath awareness allow for the spirit of Kundalini to rise within you. YOGA PRIVATE SESSIONS
Your yoga session is one-on-one with Rochelle or any of our in house yoga teachers. You will receive personalized attention and consultations to assist your particular needs, with light massage creating a dynamic personal practice to heighten your awareness and correct structural alignment.

SHAKTI VINYASA FLOW
A divine sacred force of spontaneous movement and rise of powerful energy that flow’s from your being. Through movement and Universal energetic flow, we feel our inner light source. Inspired with music and unleashing your free spirit within to move freely and tune into your being and presence.

HATHA FLOW
Discover how yoga increases your energy, improves your mode, relieves stress, and brings strength and suppleness. Hatha Flow is a unique form of Hatha yoga which links biomechanical principles of alignment with breath while both flowing and holding poses. You will get more focused and deeper connect to the present moment.

POWER YOGA
Classes are strong and you should expect to sweat while strengthening arms, shoulders, legs & core as well as working on your flexibility and getting your heart rate up. Classes offer a great workout for your body but most importantly allows your mind to unwind as you connect and flow with your breath. Power yoga is a blend of modern day and traditional yoga. You will be guided through a challenging but safe practice adapted for our “Western bodies” while being inspired by philosophy from the teachings of our gurus! Power yoga is a journey into a powerful life! (All levels)

YOGA MAMA FLOW
Thursday’s AM class will be devoted to mamas. This class is designed to allow you to nurture and reconnect to your inner self as you celebrate the mama you are. A strong and moderately paced class that will leave you refreshed, grounded, and feeling like you got a good workout. All levels welcome.
