Erica

Erica Jago

We have a new addition with us here at The North Shore Wellness Estate, yoga teacher Erica Jago. Classically trained in Vinyasa flow, her teachings pulls from all traditions of yoga, including Kundalini, Hatha and Restorative. The momentum building sequences pay special attention to your physical alignment but also attend to the mental and spiritual side to add depth and direction to your efforts.

Mara

Mara J. Pike

Founder of the North Shore Co-Op, she has shared with the North Shore Community a gathering of teachers and growth in yoga and wellness. Here at the North Shore Wellness Estate she shares with us a traditional, beautiful, and powerful form of Yoga called Shadow Yoga. Shadow Yoga is a progressive form of hatha yoga blending common preparatory exercises shared between dance, martial arts and nature.

Melanie

Melanie Dagenais

Originally from Montreal, Melanie has been studying and practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2002. She is also studying macrobiotic lifestyle and cooking, earning her first degree in Boston. Melanie is passionate about health, healing and sharing positive energy through yoga practice.

Rochelle

Rochelle Ballard

Yogalign – A powerful, pain free structural alignment sequencing that changes old shortened patterns and chronic pain in the body. Using the (HA) deep breathing techniques through the diaphragm and resistance stretching, (PNF) to strengthen the muscles joints and ligaments. Lengthening the fascia lines and activate the Psoas, eliminating stress, toxins, and tension. Restore and renew the body, mind, and spirit!

Michelle

Michelle Mendoza

Michelle has been teaching since 2007 and was trained under Janet Stone, Elise Lorimer, Darren Main, and Jane Austin at Yoga Tree in San Francisco. She pairs her yoga training with her B.A. in dance and graduate studies in Holistic Health Education to create a mindful practice for all levels and abilities. Come roll out your mat and breath, play, and flow!

Kendyl

Kendyl Beschen

Kendyl studied with Dharma Mittra in New York and is an avid surfer and mother.


Class Descriptions

YOGALIGN
A powerful, pain free structural alignment sequencing that changes old shortened patterns and chronic pain in the body. Using the (HA) deep breathing techniques through the diaphragm and resistance stretching, (PNF,) to strengthen the muscles joints and ligaments. Lengthening the fascia lines and activate the Psoas, eliminating stress, toxins, and tension.

VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa Yoga – A beautiful infusion of sun salutations, asanas, bhakti (love), intentions and breath, which creates for a very yummy yoga class!

ASHTANGA
Ashtanga practices synchronizing Ujjayi breathe with a progressive series of postures, producing internal heat, profuse sweat, detoxifying muscles and internal organs, improving circulation, relieving stress, and strengthening the body.

Monday Night Vinyasa Flow
Melt your Monday’s away with a well rounded 75 minute vinyasa flow set to mellow beats. Expect to move your body in every plane as you build heat through strong standing sequences and reconnect to your center. Inversions and arm balance will be interwoven throughout the practice along with a short restorative to help you settle in for your evening.

YOGA PRIVATE SESSIONS
Your yoga session is one-on-one with Rochelle or any of our in house yoga teachers. You will receive personalized attention and consultations to assist your particular needs, with light massage creating a dynamic personal practice to heighten your awareness and correct structural alignment.

SHADOW YOGA

SHAKTI VINYASA FLOW
A divine sacred force of spontaneous movement and rise of powerful energy that flow’s from your being. Through movement and Universal energetic flow, we feel our inner light source. Inspired with music and unleashing your free spirit within to move freely and tune into your being and presence.

Yoga Mama Flow
Thursday’s AM class will be devoted to mamas. This class is designed to allow you to nurture and reconnect to your inner self as you celebrate the mama you are. A strong and moderately paced class that will leave you refreshed, grounded, and feeling like you got a good workout. All levels welcome.
